Share your experience using the program

The "Selge" program has been publicly available in Estonian and Russian for two years already. For ethical considerations and to protect user anonymity, we do not track usage statistics of the website or program content modules, nor do we request data about users during registration. We don't know anything about the program users, but we want to find ways to better support people like you in our outreach work. We want to understand the stories of current program users, including: a) how and with what expectations they reached the program; b) how the usage has gone so far and what they think of its content.

We invite everyone who has used at least one module of the program to talk with a researcher from the National Institute for Health Development.

Participation only requires finding time for approximately an hour-long free-form conversation in a virtual environment. We will send you an MS Teams link for this, as it is considered the most secure environment. If you prefer to talk in another environment (e.g., Google Meets, Zoom), we can do that. Your privacy is very important to us. You can use a pseudonym in the conversation and don't have to participate with your video image (open camera). We won't ask you for data that could reveal your identity. Your shared contact information (phone number and/or email) will be seen by a maximum of 2 research group members and we will delete the received data immediately after the conversation takes place. You can withdraw from participating in the conversation at any time or later interrupt the conversation without additional explanations. With your consent, we will record the conversation audio for later note-taking from what was heard. We store audio files on the National Institute for Health Development server in a separate folder, which only research team members have access to. After the summary of results is completed, no later than November 30, 2023, the recordings and collected contact information will be permanently deleted. If we use illustrative statements from conversations in the research results summary, it will only be in such a way that no one can identify you. Throughout the entire work process, we follow careful principles of personal and research data work, which are in accordance with good practices and Data Protection requirements and can be found on the National Institute for Health Development website. Participation in the study is voluntary. By participating, you help ensure that the self-help program "Selge" and its communication is even more accessible to interested parties in Estonia and more supportive for users on the path to reducing alcohol consumption.

Are you in principle willing to participate in our research conversation and provide an email address through which we can make contact to arrange a meeting time?
